Dent is a decentralized mobile communications project that utilizes blockchain technology to create a global marketplace for mobile data and telecommunications services. Founded in 2017, the project aims to disrupt the traditional telecom industry by allowing users to buy, sell, and donate mobile data, voice minutes, and other digital assets. In late 2025, the project underwent a significant transition following its acquisition by the digital transfer company DT One, leading to a rebranding of its consumer platforms under the name Tunz. The ecosystem is built around the DENT token, which serves as the primary utility asset. This token is an ERC-20 token based on the Ethereum blockchain and is used for all transactions within the network's marketplace. Through the project's mobile application and its B2B platform known as the Gigastore, users can access mobile data plans in over 140 countries without the need for physical SIM cards. This is achieved through the integration of eSIM technology, which allows for roaming-free international connectivity. A central component of the project's technical infrastructure is DENTNet, a purpose-built blockchain designed specifically for the telecommunications industry. This network is intended to handle the tokenization and exchange of various telecom assets, such as frequencies and mobile traffic, on a global scale. The system operates on a decentralized model, enabling a peer-to-peer exchange where individuals can monetize their unused data by selling it to other members of the community. Beyond simple data exchange, the project has expanded its utility to include international voice calling services and, more recently, eSIM-based authentication features. In mid-2025, the project introduced a two-factor authentication service that leverages eSIM technology to provide secure access without the need for traditional one-time passwords or third-party apps. Strategic partnerships have played a key role in the project's growth. It has collaborated with major technology entities, including being part of the Samsung Blockchain platform and participating in the Telecom Infra Project. These partnerships help integrate the project's services into mainstream mobile devices and global network infrastructures. Within the newly formed Tunz ecosystem, the DENT token continues to function as a medium of exchange for purchasing data packages, receiving rewards, and participating in loyalty programs. The project remains focused on its original vision of liberating mobile data from geographical restrictions and providing more transparent, user-controlled telecommunications services worldwide.
