FAQ

You can quickly calculate your crypto investment profits by entering the investment amount, buy price, sell price, and optional entry and exit fees. Our calculator will automatically compute your final profit, return on investment (ROI), and total exit amount.

Core formulas are as follows:

Calculate the actual amount purchased: Actual amount = (Investment amount − Entry fee) / Buy price

1. Calculate total proceeds after selling:Total proceeds = Actual amount × Sell price

2. Calculate final profit:Net profit = (Total proceeds − Exit fee) − Investment amount

Let’s use a new set of example data:

-Initial investment: $3,000

-Buy price: $1,500 (using Ethereum ETH as an example)

-Sell price: $2,400

-Entry fee: $15 (typical rate of 0.5%)

-Exit fee: $12 (typical rate of 0.4%)

Calculation steps:

1. Actual amount purchased: ($3,000 − $15) / $1,500 = 1.99 ETH

Explanation: After deducting the entry fee, you purchased 1.99 ETH.

2. Total proceeds: 1.99 ETH × $2,400 = $4,776

Explanation: When ETH reaches $2,400, selling all your ETH yields $4,776.

3. Net profit: ($4,776 − $12) − $3,000 = $1,764

Explanation: After deducting the exit fee and initial investment, the final net profit is $1,764.

Return on Investment (ROI): (1,764 / 3,000) × 100% = 58.8%

In this case, your net crypto investment profit is $1,764, with an ROI of 58.8%.

Yes. Simply input your target or hypothetical future price, and the system will calculate potential returns. This is especially useful for setting take-profit goals, simulating future scenarios, or analyzing market trends.
Yes. Crypto prices are highly volatile, which means your estimated profits may shift quickly. The calculator helps you track changes, compare scenarios, and evaluate how sensitive your positions are to price movements—supporting timely strategy adjustments.
There’s no perfect formula for timing exits. Emotions and volatility shift rapidly. A more prudent approach is to take profits in stages rather than liquidating all at once. Many investors sell portions when profits reach certain levels to lock in gains while still leaving room for further upside. Your take-profit strategy should reflect your goals and risk appetite.
There’s no one-size-fits-all strategy. It depends on your investment horizon and experience. Long-term investors often use dollar-cost averaging and staggered exits to reduce the impact of short-term volatility. More experienced traders may move in and out more actively or lock in profits based on chart signals. Whatever the approach, clear goals and disciplined risk control are key.
