Seeker (SKR) is the native utility and coordination token of the Seeker ecosystem, introduced by Solana Mobile. It's designed to power critical functions like staking, governance, device verification, and curation of the Solana Mobile dApp Store. SKR goes beyond a simple reward token, aiming to unify users, developers, and Guardians. Its core purpose is to align incentives across the entire Solana Mobile infrastructure, fostering a cohesive economic system for its growing community.

The SKR token fulfills multiple vital functions within the Seeker ecosystem. It enables staking, allowing holders to support Guardians who validate devices and applications. SKR grants governance rights, empowering the community to influence platform policies, like dApp approvals, promoting a decentralized mobile environment. It provides incentives for builders and rewards early adopters. Holders can also participate in curating the Solana Mobile dApp Store, influencing rankings and features. Furthermore, SKR aids in securing device identity and verification, and is expected to offer discounts on dApp Store fees, enhancing user experience and ecosystem participation.

The SKR token officially launched on January 21, 2026. Leading up to this date, Solana Mobile diligently prepared for the token generation event, focusing on finalizing all necessary mechanics. This launch marked a significant milestone for the Seeker ecosystem, introducing its native utility token to the public.

SKR features a fixed total supply of 10 billion tokens. Its distribution is allocated as follows: 30% for Airdrops, 25% for Growth & Partnerships, 10% for Liquidity & Launch, 10% for Community Treasury, 15% for Solana Mobile, and 10% for Solana Labs. To ensure long-term stability and prevent short-term market pressure, many of these allocations unlock gradually over several years. Additionally, SKR implements a linear inflation model, commencing at 10% in its first year and progressively decreasing to a 2% terminal rate, structured to incentivize early participants within the ecosystem.

The Solana Seeker is an innovative Web3-native smartphone developed by Solana Mobile, integrating specialized crypto features directly into its hardware and operating system for seamless interaction with the Solana network. Crucially, every Seeker device includes a non-transferable SKR Genesis Token. This unique token is fundamental to providing incentives, facilitating governance, and granting access to dApps within the ecosystem. The SKR token is thus deeply embedded in the Seeker's core functionality, serving to align the interests of users, developers, and hardware partners across the entire platform.

Yes, 30% of the total SKR supply is allocated for airdrops, with a substantial 20% specifically designated for Seeker smartphone users and developers. The initial airdrop tranche became available around the token generation event in January 2026. Eligibility primarily targeted active ecosystem participants, particularly those who pre-ordered and activated their Seeker device and remained active during "Seeker Season 1." Importantly, original Saga phone users were not eligible for this specific airdrop, emphasizing a focus on the new hardware. To claim, users were required to verify their Seeker activation and claim their unique Seeker ID, ensuring their non-transferable Seeker Genesis Token (SBT) was present in their wallet.
