Base’s second network upgrade, Beryl, introduces B20, a native token standard built directly into the chain’s node software rather than as a smart contract, and lands on mainnet June 25.The upgrade also cuts Base’s standard withdrawal delay to Ethereum from seven to five days, building on withdrawal improvements introduced with the Azul upgrade in May.
